The Institute for Energy & Sustainability is happy to announce a partnership with Causes International, National Grid, Clark University and WPI to provide a full range of electronic recycling through an upcycling campaign. Causes International hosts an online donation platform that allows customers to select used or unwanted consumer electronics (over 60,000 items accepted). After selecting the product, a tax-deductible donation value is assigned based on product and quality of the consumer good, participants then print a pre-paid shipping label and the value assigned is donated to the Institute for Energy and Sustainability to help support their mission of creating clean technology jobs and businesses in Central Massachusetts.
IES is working with the Clark University students, as well as the Thirft Store to encourage people to participate. Stop by the Laurie Conference Room on November 15, 2012 at Noon for a presentation on Upcycling by IES and Causes International.
