The Millennium Leadership Conference creates an environment where students of all backgrounds can learn and grow as leaders in the context of diversity and multiculturalism and to cultivate the inherent leadership
qualities of college students who identify as ALANA*, and to serve as a learning experience for non-ALANA students. Through a series of workshops and presentations, participants are challenged to assess their own experiences on college campuses from a personal
and broader perspective. This assessment then leads to an exploration of how each student can play a pivotal role in shaping the culture of his or her campus, and more importantly, how that will translate into a fulfilling college and post-college experience.
Students will gain an understanding of how they can use their assets to become leaders in a diverse world.
*ALANA is an acronym used at Clark standing for African descent, Latino/a, Asian, and Native American.
