Join the Asian Culture Society as we welcome the Autumn Moon Festival! The Autumn Moon Festival is a harvest celebration which falls on the 15th day of the 8th month in the Lunar Calendar. It is one of the most important holidays in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. The origins of the Autumn Moon Festival vary from country to country, but in general, farmers used this particular holiday to celebrate their plentiful harvests. It is a time of harmony and unity amongst families, friends, and neighbors. Children create paper lanterns, traidional foods are shared, and lots of mooncakes are eaten. Our event will include delicious foods, presentations, lantern-making, music, and delicious mooncakes! Invite your friends!
