Parent Organization: Clark Undergraduate Student Council
The Consortium coordinates a free shuttle bus service. This intercampus transportation service, which uses a wheelchair-lift equipped bus, connects six Worcester campuses (WPI, Becker, Assumption, Clark, Worcester State and Holy Cross) with each other and the Worcester Public Library, Union Station, Worcester Art Museum and the downtown area. Brochures on the shuttle service and other transportation options are also available in the registrars' and student services offices on each campus, as well as in the Consortium office.
The shuttle offers free transportation to area shopping hot spots every Friday and Saturday throughout the school year. On Friday, the bus makes regular routes between 2pm – 10pm to the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough, MA. The Solomon Pond Mall features over 115 shops and restaurants as well as a 15-screen movie theater. On Saturday, the bus makes regular routes between 2pm – 10pm to the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley, where specialty stores and popular restaurants line the outdoors with a newly renovated movie theater within the complex.
The Friday and Saturday night shuttle service connects four participating campuses to each other and to six desirable spots for food, shopping and entertainment. CityRide is free for full-time, undergraduate students at participating colleges. You MUST show your college ID to ride.
Student Leadership & Programming can assist student clubs and organizations in renting a 7 passenger van for club and organization needs. The van rentals are done at a negotiated rate and students may travel to and from events within 250 miles of campus. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have defensive driving course certification through Clark University.
